We can't thank you enough for being so generous through donating gifts for people who aren't as lucky as us. Let's pray that these gifts will remind us that Christmas is a time for giving.
First we had to carefully sieve the sugar and flour - try not to spill it! Next we stirred in the right amount of butter, ginger and syrup using a spoon - what a lovely smell!
After they had finished cooking in the oven we decorated our Gingerbread Men. Finally we took them home! Yum, yum! Which part was eaten first?! We've been stirring, mixing, sieving and decorating our Gingerbread Men. Fortunately we were able to catch them before they got away! Watch this space to see how we made our Gingerbread Men...
Together we enjoyed a Harvest Breakfast to celebrate all the food God has given us to eat. As you can see, there's not much left!
We've been finding out how things can melt when heated up. We put pieces of chocolate in a bowl, put the bowl into another bowl of hot water and watched it slowly melt. We then put marshmallows on sticks into the chocolate and dipped it into cake decorations to make lollipops whilst becoming solid again! I expect they were yummy!
What an interesting walk on our doorsteps! We all visited Bestwood Country Park to explore the colours and textures of the trees, plants and landscape. As usual we were amazed at how much they have changed - from greens to golds, reds and browns. Come into our class to se what we found! We've been looking at different stories this week. Children have enjoyed listening and talking about them. Everybody enjoyed swapping places under the parachute and balancing the ball in the middle! Good teamwork!
